Mikelis Kirpluks

Mikelis Kirpluks has been a researcher at the Polymer Laboratory of IWC since 2014 but he began his career at IWC in 2006. During his work, he has actively participated in activities of FORBIOPLAST, EVolution and EranNet Matera BBPM projects, which resulted in 24 sci. publications. His input into these projects was polyol synthesis, polyol analysis and characterization, PUR/PIR foam formulation development and production, testing PUR/PIR foams as well as project management and report preparation. As a part of FP7 staff exchange project with Argentina, he learnt about the extraction of nanocellulose fibres and development and characterisation of PUR nanocellulose composites.
