Cinzia Tartarini
CC Automotive & Head of Weathering Center Europe

Cinzia Tartarini is Innovation Project Manager in the Global Competence Center Automotive for BASF Plastic Additives and leads the Weathering Center Europe in Pontecchio Marconi, Italy. 

Cinzia obtained her degree in Organic Chemistry at the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna, Italy.

In 1997 she joined the Plastic Additives Division at Ciba Specialty Chemicals in Pontecchio Marconi, Italy to work on the process development of new Light Stabilizers.

In 2005 she moved to the Chemistry Design Unit at Ciba Grenzach, Germany where she worked on the research of new additives for Home & Personal Care applications.

In 2007 she joined Ciba Basel in Switzerland as Application Specialist in the Polymerization and Emulsion Technology group where she mainly worked on the development of new additives for Polyurethane.

In 2009 she joined BASF Plastic Additives Switzerland where she worked as Innovation Project Manager in the group of Global Product Development Extrusion & Special Applications.

Since 2014 she has been engaged in the development of new plastic additives for Automotive with a special focus on Polyurethane applications.

In 2016 she relocated to Pontecchio Marconi, Italy. There, in addition to her responsibilities within the Competence Center Automotive, she has taken the lead of the Weathering Center Europe for BASF Plastic Additives.
